What is the best way to let go of something you are holding onto?
Observe your breathing when someone or something has hurt or angered you, or your mind is focused on negative energy. Notice the tension that arises and what form it takes in your body. Become aware of how the tension has impacted your muscles in your neck, shoulders, lower back, or maybe caused anxiety or burning in your chest.
Practice just noticing your breath...when we do this we can notice where we are holding our pain. Find a way that works best for you to release tension and any discomfort you are feeling in your body.
One way I let go of tension is by writing. Write your thoughts in a journal and let your subconscious mind take control of the pen. Write anything that comes to mind, without rationalizing it. After you are entirely finished, choose what you would like to do with your writing.
